FIELD NOTE / 2027 PLANNING

Fill the right
weeks.

A summer camp marketing plan starts with the sessions that need campers. Use this calendar to connect promotion to real capacity, then adjust the dates to your registration cycle.

01
Sep–Oct 2026

Choose the sessions that need help.

List age bands, remaining capacity, tuition and the minimum viable session size. Separate returners from new-family acquisition.

02
Nov–Dec 2026

Make the registration decision easy.

Publish your 2027 dates when confirmed, full costs, hours, age eligibility, pickup location and cancellation policy. Make the path to registration work on a phone.

03
Jan–Feb 2027

Test one audience and one offer.

Open registration on your own schedule. Give each channel a tagged link. Start with returning families and high-intent discovery; test paid acquisition only against an explicit budget.

04
Mar–Apr 2027

Fund what creates enrollments.

Review qualified inquiries, paid registrations and contribution by session. Improve the weak step before adding channels or increasing spend.

05
May–Jun 2027

Focus on remaining capacity.

Send people directly to available sessions. Remove sold-out offers, update waitlists and show accurate dates. Make short-notice information easy to find.

06
Jul–Aug 2027

Close the loop.

Record acquired campers and net collected tuition by source. Gather permission for future photos and testimonials. Document next season’s decisions while they are fresh.

Fix the page
before the ad.

If a parent has to call to learn your hours, find your location or discover the full price, more clicks may simply mean more unanswered questions.

Give every promoted session a stable page with accurate dates, age eligibility, activities, drop-off and pickup, all-in price, availability and a working registration link. Make the next action obvious.

Keep one scorecard.

For each source and session, record spend, qualified inquiries, paid enrollments, refunds and net revenue. Count a family once. Ask how they found you when digital attribution is missing.

Use contribution after variable costs to judge affordability. Clicks and form submissions alone are not revenue.
